I believe Disney needs to start cutting benefits and possibly even some pay, from the top. People at the top get paid far above what the cast members get paid and I’m sure benefits are much more extensive as well.
The greed the Disney Company has these days, is sickening. My dad used to say, “what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.”.
These people with all their cost cutting ridiculousness need to start thinking about their very important employees, for whom the parks cannot operate without.
They work in some of the worst weather and stress from complicated parents and crying children sometimes, smiling and doing their best to make Disney proud. This decision has made Disney deplorable, if you ask me.
I’m very anti-union, but these type of stories unfortunately make the case for them, maybe when enough cast members move on elsewhere, Disney will find themselves in a position of having to settle for reduced talent in the cast member pool of applicants.
