Scrim and scaffolding now block the view of much of the Adventureland Bazaar building from Disneyland Park guests. Here’s what to know before heading out on your next Disneyland Resort vacation.

On August 6, WDWNT reported that scrim and scaffolding had been wrapped around almost the entire facade of the Adventureland Bazaar, a merchandise location at Disneyland Park. The outlet shared a photo of the construction on social media:

Construction walls surround the parts of the scaffolding that would be reachable to guests. Signs on the wooden plank barriers direct guests to the gift shop entrance, noting that “Your Excursion Supplier” is “open” and that it sells “clothing, sundries, and gear.”

Despite the clear signs of construction, the Adventureland Bazaar remains open to Disneyland Park guests. The interior of the merchandise location appears unaffected by whatever work Disneyland Resort has planned for the facade.

Disneyland Resort has not commented publicly on this exterior refurbishment of the Adventureland Bazaar, which isn’t unusual. Disney rarely makes statements about construction projects that don’t result in temporary closures or significantly affect the theme park guest experience.

It’s unclear whether more of the Adventureland Bazaar, such as its iconic painted sign and archway entrance, will eventually be obscured by construction materials. For now, the Disneyland Resort operational calendar does not list any upcoming closures for the merchandise location, so guests shouldn’t expect the facade work to affect the in-store experience.

Disney sometimes refurbishes gift shops in phases, reducing the merchandise selection but allowing portions of the store to remain open while construction wraps up in another area, then moving operations to the newly-redone area until the rest of the store is finished. It’s unclear if Disneyland Resort plans to do so with the Adventureland Bazaar, or whether it will leave the inside alone.
