The company is racing to the bottom, trying to cash in before it all collapses. Their stock has been stagnant through mass inflation after a collapse in 2021. They know it’s over.

Your an idiot! Disney is not going bankrupt.

  3. Nope

Why does Disney hate us so much?

Disney may not be through cramming these remakes down our throats but I am. I mean I could cry at the literal dumbness of them. If remakes are all they want to do anymore then they are truly dead to me.

  5. Peters

I can’t take this anymore. The ima ginative magic of Disney is gone forever

  6. William Colby

It’ll probably be only remake they’ll ever make where they won’t race swap anybody except maybe Tiana’s rich friend who was white. Either way I’m going pretend that Disney doesn’t exist anymore. My remake fatigue is completely fatigued 🫩

I don’t care if Disney thinks it’s an original spin off, to me it’s still a live action adaption that shouldn’t happen. I’d rather see an animated sequel to the original than more stinking live action! Until they figure out how to go back to hand drawn cartoons again, no more Disney!

If she’s a fictional character and raceswapping isn’t supposed to matter, why can’t Sydney Sweeney play Tiana?

    No, Disney. Just no.

    I’ll make a thousand live actions before I let this company d i e! — Disney

Sequels and remakes and remakes and sequels…..that’s all Disney seems interested in these days. And when they do come out with an original story — Strange World, Elio — nobody goes to see it. Money talks, bullshit walks. If their original stories still drew an audience then they’d go back to making more of them instead of hitting us with a steady stream of sequels and remakes.

    1. TheObvious

      “Strange World”
Yeah, maybe they should stick to the remakes.

    2. Steve

Well Disney after I take over will only do original stories and say “What would Walt do?” talks and money walks. Remakes and sequels will be against company bylaws.

This is most unfortunate. Wasn’t The Princess and the Frog one of Disney’s last hand drawn cartoon movies if not “the” last? It had a sweet and satisfying ending. It does not need a live action remake, spin-off, prequel or sequel. Thankfully we are not forced to watch it and will surely be insulted if we don’t but it’s time Disney figure out what the audience is actually wanting: original, non-political movies and hand drawn art again

    1. TheObvious

I don’t think we’re ever going to see hand drawn animation again outside art films. However, technology has reached such a point, between CGI and AI, that it would be significantly easier to make movies with a hand-drawn style than it ever was before. The problem is Disney doesn’t want to. They halfheartedly tried with Wish, but that movie was a disaster.

      1. Barry

AI is trash. We don’t want it in our entertainment either. Yes Wish was indeed a disaster. A sloppy, lazy disaster. Trying to combine 2D and 3D art doesn’t work. It needs to be one or the other.

        1. TheObvious

Who is we? Speak for yourself, not others. AI is here to stay. You’ll get over it.

          1. Steve

AI is not here to stay. It’s being outlawed entirely with all research and knowledge of it being erased in a modern day burning of Alexandria and an amendment will be added to the Constitution forbidding all use of it and citing the Terminator franchise as part of the reason. Just as the 18th led to Prohibition. All animated movies will be hand drawn again. Movies will be stuck in the 20th century forever.

          2. Mr Chambers

They are speaking for others you’d be surprised at how many people actually hate AI , I suggest YOU get off your high horse and get over it. People who worship technology like you wouldn’t last two minutes where I live

          3. Mr Chambers

Steve as nice as that sounds I think you need to grow up first

          4. Steve

I think you need to learn to never tell anyone to “grow up” and show proper respect to a high ranking military man, civvie. You take orders from me. People don’t “grow up.” They shrink down. Everything I say is true and a prophecy that will happen. I’ve got a Time Machine like Doc Brown.

          5. TheObvious

Mr Chambers: You can hate AI all you want. Plenty of people hated computers and the internet. Plenty of people wanted to stick to their horse carriages. You’re unemployable in the modern market if you spend all your time screaming about AI. No company wants those problematic employees. A self-fulfilling prophesy.
