If it is dead why did I see an 8 year old kid wearing a darth vader star wars tshirt, I asked him which movies he liked. He said “the ones with Darth Vader” Doesn’t seem dead to me SpaceX???
The original trilogy desperately needs a Disney remake????!!! In who’s peabrained mind??? Disney has already destroyed the franchise and lost a ton of fans! You do not touch the original trilogy! That’s treading on very thin ice!
I would live there be an all new series of Star Wars movies with a recast Luke Han and Leia in the Millennium Falcon battling TIE fighters in deep space first set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back and then set a few years after Return of the Jedi with the classic trio in the Millennium Falcon battling Imperial Splinter Fleets Space Pirates using old Clone Wars warships and ARC-170 Starfighters and battling the Yuuzhan Vong or the Grysk Armada with the help of the Chiss Ascendency Fleet and their Chiss Clawcraft Starfighters in the Unknown Regions.

am sorry, but Disney has ruined almost everything they’ve touched for some time now. It wasn’t the franchise that’s died, It’s the studio that murdered it. I’m one of the biggest Disney fans alive, have been for 60 plus years, but nothing has been created studio-wise that has been worth my time or money to bother with, other than one or two special exceptions. That said, I was also at the opening night of Star Wars- A New Hope when it was just known as Star Wars. I spent 100 days and or nights in the local theater that year; My best friend and I even tried to get jobs there to save ticket costs. I’ve never lost my love for the first, and the other two in the trilogy are also classics that are untouchable in my mind. I feared for the series when Disney took over, and now you are bringing my nightmares to life.
If you must remake the original trilogy, please wait a couple of decades, when I either wont be here to be hurt by it or at least I’ll be too senile to care by then.
Sounds like the author is on the mouse’s payroll. Disney hasn’t pout out any great Start Wars content since they bought the rights. Yet, here he is panning for them to screw up the original 3 movies. Wow. I bet people see now why JK Rowling turned down Disney’s offer on Harry Potter.
