More like Josh D’Amaro and his and his cronies’ dumb ass decisions. If they can’t do their jobs right, don’t bother calling them “Disney”. It’s already an insult to the great Walt Disney’s name.
I really enjoy the people mover. I would like to see it expanded to other areas of the park. Seeing a glimpse of the other rides and having a breezy break is nice during a long day a the park. Hope it’s not down for long.
Why dont Disney just remove everything.Who ever comes with all these ideas dont have brains. They continue to destroy the magic and come back with stuff that is not that great .Hotels close along with some ride .Ticket prices going up along with food and drinks .Just not worth going there anymore .People i am sure sees this too
They wouldn’t be closing the ride permanently, from the sound of it. Just during the refurb. I don’t think these rides should stay the same for 50 years, it’s not a museum.
Disney should work on just ONE refurbishment per park at a time & open an old alternative to compensate – like Wonders of Life. People getting ripped off paying full/now insanely inflated ticket prices for too many attractions closed – & breaking down from poor or no maintenance.
People Mover is my most favorite ride at WDW. I can understand if they need to close it while Space Mountain is being redone – I just hope they don’t close it permanantly .
WHY WHY WHY ! As DVC members in recent years we have seen refurbishments after another. We lived through EPCOT and experiencing be a “lab rat” with all the walls, now the demolishing of the Magic Kingdom ! It has to slow down and stop taking away the “MAGIC” If Disney feels they have to do something just build another park there’s enough room I would think.
They have plenty of room, but they won’t. They want all the money with no additional costs. That’s why they don’t build new lands or new rides, they replace lands and rides.

So is it really closing? And for how long?

Once again Disney and their dumb ass random decisions.
Mark
It doesn’t sound like it would be permanent. Just while refurbishing Space Mountain, which it could definitely use.
Annie
Hopefully, you’re right.

Agreed. It happens at all of the parks apparently. Also in CA most of the new stuff is IP the majority of people don’t care about.

I don’t see how re-do the track inside Space Mt. would effect the People Mover track, but what do I know? I will miss People Mover more than Space Mt.
