And the scene you mentioned isn’t in the movies at all. The only way HBO will be able to make this series their own is by adding scenes that elaborate on different aspects on the story. Everyone knows where the story is headed. But now, we can see the story anew from Snape’s perspective and growth with things that were deliberately left out of the books and movies. This will be especially important in the first few seasons.
