I can usually navigate these attractions when I’m with family to offer assistance. However, in March I made solo trip to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Since there was no one to help me in and out I was forced to skip several attractions that I really wanted to experience. I skipped Big Thunder Mountain, Small World, Pirates and the Storybook Canal Boats. And I struggled with seating at Snow White, Roger Rabbit, Alice in Wonderland, Pinocchio and Cars. I was heartbroken 💔 😥 about the classic rides that I had to admit I couldn’t manage. Whatever Disney could do to make these more accessible would be a thrill.
Hi! Would like to note that the Jungle Cruise not only has a wheelchair accessible boat, but also has “rope boats,” separate from the main loading dock, that better stabilizes the boat for those needing the extra support for the step into the boat. Just speak to a cast member before entering the line. That goes for any attraction, there are many options at each ride, just speak to a cast member before joining the queue and they will help you to find the best route of support for you, it’s their job!
