I understand for busiest times like 4th of July or New Year’s Eve, but the other times should be open to DVC members or anyone staying at Deluxe resorts. After all, the decorations and shops are different at each resort. For those of us who rarely do the parks, resort hopping is our daily activities. Something has got to give, or Disney is going to lose.
You can always use disney transportation to get to any resort. We are visiting now and doing that. The only resort where access was denied completely was the Poly on July 4th. For the holiday fireworks on July 3rd (and also tonight), access was not restricted for walkers or those arriving by monorail. (I’m staying at AKL).
I would not be opposed to ALL liverstreamers being banned from the grounds PERIOD. That said it was always great to take break from MK or EPCOT and go to the Contemp or Poly and grab a bite and a few drinks. If that is no more it is just one more way Disney is showing it has lost the plot. Probably never need to go there again….and I thought Paul Pressler was horrific

It’s about time those who pay to be at the resort are a priority
A group of beignets buyers and drinkers don’t take priority over guests
And that goes for AP holders too we get the equivalent of major discount on tickets to go many many times all year and free parking at ticket and transportation or any Pam booked
No other major chains do that unless you buy their highest tier passes
Restrict non resort guests boarding the resort monorail at Magic Kingdom closing, then I know Disney does care about their resort guests. That’s where a real problem happens.
Greater restrictions are in place for the holiday period according to security at multiple resort entrances. We were on a quick service plan this year and like hopping between resorts (and parking there) to visit QS restaurants. Not possible at most resorts this trip – though we were told it’s only temporary. We don’t mind using Disney transportation or walking though, so we did that instead. There was only day where access was completely shut down at a resort – the Polynesian on July 4th. We could access any other day by walk or monorail. The other change was to Boardwalk where they won’t let you in even with a dining reservation unless that reservation is within two hours. Other resorts did not have the two hour limitation
