It’s a combination of high cost, high heat and too many closures at the parks and resorts. At these prices people aren’t going to dump major bucks for a messed experience. Great advance planning Disney.

I was there 2 weeks ago. Never went too early, but never thought of the parks as empty. If it was so empty why were the ride lines so long? I think some of these stories are just lies to get you to read the stuff they want you to read.

The lines are often artificial. Disney can quietly reduce capacity in various ways, such as running fewer vehicles. They can also issue more LLs, which makes the lines artificially longer.

you are 100% correct, we just got back and by no means was it empty, we went to MK on 7/20 at 6pm and left it was so crowded

This recession promises to be a doozy. This only the beginning.

Great! Time to go! That said…of course its cause Dinsey is wayyyy to $$ now. And yes, most people are clinging to their job (me included) and saving for when they lose their job (me included) due to AI…or, you know, ICE raids. Yeah, it’s not a good economic environment now.

Disney has become overpriced, under-delivered, and outright hostile. As a local I have been considering cancelling my pass at the end of the year.

The place gets worse every year, never better. The new attractions suck and significant parts of the parks are under construction (building junk and mostly rethemes no one wants). It’s a disaster.

I can’t imagine spending 5 figures to visit the place if I can barely justify keeping up $500 for a year with the way things are. Now they even spit in the faces of locals with the transportation restriction push. It’s just not a place I want to spend time and money anymore.

It’s like they don’t even care about us out in the trailer parks! Sure, I can still make a decent enough living to support my brother-husband by servicing the needs of my trailer community but the rising cost of knee pads and the frequency I go through them doesn’t make it cost effective anymore to keep my season passes. Shame on them!

This site needs to do something about people using others’ names to post libel. This freak is triggered by my criticism of Disney’s moves and has decided to impersonate me.

lies, lies and more lies, just got back from Disney Magic Kingdom was packed at 6pm 7/20/26 and at 9am 7/21/26, Big Thunder was down from opening to 11am. Don’t believe Europeans are not travelling to Disney, we heard so many people from UK, Ireland, Scotland, Brazil, Canada and many other countries. The only time Epcot is not crowded is when they open in the AM. Hollywood was same crowds, definitely not empty, didn’t go to Animal Kingdom
