It would be terrible if Disney World would stop using horses. It is a staple of Main Street & the time setting of Main Street. Horses need a job. So 1 may gets spooked once. No one was hurt. Vehicles break down, you don’t stop using them. Is the Headless Horseman going to disappear at Halloween Party?
Yes, we will miss them, but with temperatures rising almost everywhere, summers are becoming too hot to have horses and other animals work in the heat. I hope the horses will find good homes where they can live happy lives.
I am so glad they are going to no horses. It is cruel and inhumane; they work long hours in a chaotic environment and they deserve more than that. I absolutely despise their use in theme parks, circus settings and pony rides; forcing them to walk the same route or in a circle day after day hour after hour is not fair and many times are not treated or cared for properly. Who knows how often they are fed or watered to keep hydrated and it sickens qnd angers me. .Im glad they made this decision.
You need to make sure you go thru proper rehoming of these horses such as a rescue that is reputable, investigate first. Or an adoption stable for horses that just need pasture time. Can’t be ridden.
