Law enforcement received a call about an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” inside the Disney Springs lifestyle complex shortly after 12:30 a.m. on July 12. Police scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the 911 call log on X (formerly known as Twitter):

🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/12/26 12:38 AM
🚨: Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone) at 📍: Disney Springs

The important thing to know about reports like this one is that emergency calls throughout the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks, hotels, and Disney Springs are almost always tracked at generalized addresses for each property, rather than the exact coordinates of the law enforcement response. Here, the Google Maps screenshot attached to the post shows the center of Disney Springs, but that doesn’t necessarily reflect where the overnight battery incident occurred.

At this time, there is no publicly available information about the people involved in the battery incident or whether anyone was seriously injured. More details may become available if a police report is prepared and/or criminal charges are filed.

Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort has issued a statement about this battery incident at Disney Springs.

If you’re headed to one of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks or even Disney Springs on Sunday, you shouldn’t anticipate any delays or obstructions following the overnight emergency response. According to the My Disney Experience app and other official channels, everything at Disney Springs is operating normally following the battery incident.

In general, guests who encounter law enforcement responses at the Central Florida Disney parks should follow any directions from authorities and avoid any blocked-off areas. Walt Disney World Resort has procedures in place to minimize the impact of such situations on families nearby and respect the privacy of everyone involved.
