    To me a Disney adult is an adult with the mentality of a child who sucks up everything Disney, every Disney movie no matter how sucky it is and cries when the majority doesn’t like it and/or it fails at the box office, stampedes at the parks over pins and Mickey ears and spends $$$$ just because oh boo hoo it’s got Stitch or Mickey or Minnie on it

      Exactly

    I’m an adult who likes only certain choice few Disney movies and certain Disney characters. I do not call myself a “Disney adult” because yes to me that’s degrading and describes a person who is obsessed with the Disney name. I have one T-shirt with Simba on it and soundtracks to some certain Disney movies. Rarely I’ll buy stickers with certain Disney characters on them to dress up envelopes or containers. That’s it. I don’t continue watching every sequel and remake Disney puts out because it’s just all sloppily written junk anymore. So I just stick mainly to what I grew up with. So yes to me there’s a difference between being “an adult who likes certain Disney things” and a “Disney adult”

    I agree with the commenters, Disney adults are indeed a species all their own. They gave themselves that bad name by acting like out of control children in a candy shop over din ky plastic garbage. It’s sad. I’ve seen children behave better than Disney adults do at parks. I’ve heard they’ll literally trample or injure another person just to pick up the latest Disney trend or pin. Just downright embarrassing. Even children recognize Disney’s junk movies like Moana remake and Star Wars today and don’t want to see it whereas some adult would unalive anyone who has a different opinion over it. Yes, you can be an adult and like Disney. Just don’t go overboard!

    Hey I like Stitch! But after that nasty remake it’s like everywhere I turned in the store there’s Stitch smiling at me from socks, underwear, backpacks, plushies, books, candy…it got really disgusting! Same thing happened after the first Frozen movie. There’s enough Disney products, both sold and unsold, out there that we could fill another planet with!

      We could fill a couple of landfills just on unwanted Star Wars and Supergirl merch alone! My local CVS still has Wish dolls last I recall; and I still see some aging Lightyear products. Nobody wants products associated with bad movies so it sits in stores for months before ending up in Ollie’s or preferably the dump. Complete waste of materials that could be recycled

        Tell me about it 🤣 while the mandalorian and gooey was still in theaters somebody posted a pic online showing a pile of that merch in their local Walmart all with clearance tags on it 😂 all trends have their beginnings, their peaks but then their endings. When the fad is over, it’s over

          Oh yeah, I also saw a posted pic of a early clearance Supergirl doll because nobody in their right minds are buying it and it’s just laying around in stores to 😂

        I wonder what is the fate of all unsold movie merch after the clearance rack? Does it literally all end up in the landfill?

          It may depends on the store, idk. Trying researching it online. They might eventually sell it if they mark it down it enough. I can’t see most stores donating it all away. I know Walmart just throws things away. Food, clothes I’ve even seen pics of them bagging up the packets of garden seed for the trash. Gotta get rid of it fast to make room for the next season’s stuff. As for toys, I really don’t know

    For good or bad, Mr. Disney himself started the merchandise craze with Mickey way back in the 1920’s, believe it or not. Thing is, if anyone want’s any merch, it’s the legacy character’s, nothing current. They still must make money with them since they still crank them out. (make in china?}
