The change KILLED traffic at the resort bars and lounges. I saw it myself. Disney probably cut their daily income in half at non-tableservice POS. It’s not just people who can’t go from Disney Springs anymore; it’s locals like me who refuse to support a company that clearly doesn’t want us.
Disney screwed up. Badly. This is not “working,” this is something that will take years to walk back.
Agreed! I have refused to go out there because of the change, and I was going at least once a month dropping $100-300 a visit. I knew I wasn’t the only one and figured it would be a matter of time before it would hit the Disney financials.
Vicki, I like your suggestion of allowing annual passholders to continue to use the transportation system at WDW. We have lived in Florida only a few years. We booked short stays at the resorts, at the All-Star Resorts, or at Port Orleans, and at Yacht, and Beach Club as well, in the past few months. Over the past 50 years we have stayed at one time or another at nearly every resort. the Polynesian was our favorite place to watch the fireworks. We were in Hawaii and had a balcony facing the castle! We went oner just a couple of weeks ago, and stayed at the French Quarter, and went to the Animal Kingdom. We are older now, than we were in 1978 which was our first trip to WDW. That was when there was only the Magic Kingdom, and we bought alphabet coupon tickets A-E, to go on attractions/rides. It would be nice if Disney actually had a rate for those of us over 70. But a start would be allowing annual passholders to be able to use the transportation at WDW,

A compromise might be to allow annual pass holders to use the Springs transportation. They are not trying to avoid paying for parking.
