I heard they re jected a black man with a British accent and told him he wasn’t black enough for the role. Welp, so much for Disney’s love of diversity!

    1. Tim

      But isn’t that raycist? 🤣

    2. Y?

But I bet Nolan would’ve hired him to be in the Odd-to-See!!

      1. Bert

The Odyssey was great! Why comment negatively if you haven’t seen it? You’ll be surprised how good it is.

        1. Frenzy

No thanks. I’ll wait for the Mel Gibson version

        2. Johnny

Because we don’t take the word of Nolan shills or wokies

          1. Bert

            I don’t understand that comment.

        3. Drivin Fast

What makes you think he hasn’t seen it there is a lot of people that watched it and still agree that it was garbage and will never be seeing it again get over it

        4. Fred

No thanks. I don’t want to see Greece being given the middle finger

    3. Allen

      Disney: *blackwashes other characters*
Also Disney: Sorry man, you’re not black enough to play our black character

      1. Johnny

        🤣👍🏻

    4. Bert

      That’s not true.

    5. Collins

Yep, saw it on YouTube yesterday! Imagine being told you’re not black enough because of your British accent! But I guess Greeks were “too Greek” for Nolan’s Greek film , lol !

    6. Electra

Disney’s rule: White people are supposed to be diverse but black people are not!

    7. Maci Traci

White characters don’t have to be white but black gotta be very black!

    8. Spike

It’s Boseman you’re talking about. I saw the news on a YouTube channel that sources from Disney. Disney just being hypocritical what did you expect from them?

  2. WilliamColby

I smell another financial flop incoming!

  3. Don

Oh nuts I was so hoping Ryan Gosling, Hugh Jackman or John Cena would play the next Black Panther 😞

  4. Echoing Canyons

The Wakanda franchise was written by white people so why is it that fictational black stories are supposed to be more accurate by casting people “as black as possible” but a fictational Greek story is supposed to get changed all up for the sake of virtue signalling?

    1. Luke

Why are they making more sequels to this anyway? I heard it hasn’t been financially all that great

      1. Sue

Because it’s Disney and Disney milks everything they own and sees underperformance and failure as a success for some reason because they do not care about the audience which is why we only get sequels and remakes anymore haven’t you figured that out by now?

  5. Maci Traci

Boseman: Am I gonna be Black Panther again! Yay!
Disney: No, you’re too American/English do something about that accent bro
    Boseman: 🥺😭

    1. Frenzy

Christopher Nolan will hire him to play Achilles in the Odyssey sequel lol

      1. Cindy

He can be Tarzan in Disney’s live action remake of Tarzan 😂

  6. Dollphin

There was a Black Panther 2?

  7. Twilight Zoner

Huh. Disney’s been r@cist against the whites for years now they’re starting to be r@cist against British-Africans!

  8. Earl 76

What’s the matter Disney don’t you believe that British speaking black people should be represented in an African story? Ah ha ha ha ha!! 😂 This is so glorious!

  9. Frenzy

Somethin don’t smell right. According to modern Hollywood anybody of any color can play a white skinned character and we’re not supposed to complain but believe it otherwise we’re -iscts and -iots or some other problem. If blacks and Asians can be Greek and blacks can be Germans and Vikings and everything else how come a black with an English accent can no longer be a black character? The hypocrisy of Hollywood knows no bounds!

  10. Frenzy

We: Greek people should play Greek characters!
They/Them: It’s a fictational story, get over it!
Also They/Them: race swaps a black character because he’s not African enough for a fictional African character in a make-believe African world written by white New Yorkers!

    1. Fred

      This! ☝🏻

  11. KidKind

I never knew there was second one. All I heard was the first was a flop

  12. Dennis

That’s ok Mr. Boseman. Disney may not consider you African enough for the part anymore but Chris Nolan would consider you Greek enough for The Oddity 2

    1. Tim

How dare Disney not represent the British people in an African movie by raceswapping this man!

  13. Fatigued Ex-Fan

    Dear Disney,
How come he’s too British to be African but other black people you’ve hired are black enough to be white-skinned races?

    Fatigued Ex-Fan

  14. AntonioJJ

I’m shocked they didn’t cast Pedro Pascal

    1. Honey Crisp

Or Zendaya or Rachel Zegler or Ellen Page or Mark Ruffalo or…

  15. Yancy Cobb

Does this mean Disney no longer believes in diversity to suite the “modern audience”?

  16. Honey Crisp

Disney is clearly racist against English speaking black people

  17. Melissa

Oh so this is Disney’s little hypocritical game is it? African hero stories have to be as accurate as possible but European fairytales get all screwed up with DEI , the heck with accuracy! Boycotting this!

    1. Spike

All Hollywood adaptations are equal but some are adaptions are more equal than others

  18. Mister Samuels

Disney wants blacks to be portrayed and represented in everything…but not this guy because he’s part British! Sheez!

  19. Spike

    Wakanda isn’t diverse enough! 🙄

  20. Franklin

Oh for crying out just cast a white man and call it The Pink Panther

  21. 2 Early 2 B Late

Oh so now they race swap to be accurate, what was their excuse for not being accurate with Snow White and Little Mermaid?

  22. Skye

Can’t he just hide his accent? Some actors can do that. If Nigerians are Greek enough then Boseman is African enough.

  23. ForrestBerry

German girl: Can I play Snow White?
Hollywood: ew no ur too white and too German we gotta be diverse
European/Scandanavian girl: can I play Astrid?
Hollywood: ew no ur too white and too blonde we gotta be diverse
Greeks: Can we be in the Odyssey?
Hollywood: ew no ur too white and too greek we gotta be diverse
Chadwick Boseman: can I be black panther again this time?
Hollywood: ew no ur too british this is gotta be as accurate to Africa as possible in other words take a hike ur too diverse
