Battery at Magic Kingdom Park on July 20
At 3:38 p.m. on July 20, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a call about an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)” in the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area at Walt Disney World Resort. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the 911 call log on X (formerly known as Twitter):

As usual, the pinned location in the Google Maps screenshot attached to the post from @WDWActiveCrime corresponds to the general address that the Orange County Sheriff’s Office uses to track emergency responses in the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area. The actual coordinates of the violent incident may have been within Magic Kingdom Park or Disney’s Contemporary Resort, or on the walkway between the two.
At this time, it’s unclear how many guests were involved in this incident and whether there were any serious injuries. More details may emerge if a police report is prepared or criminal charges are filed. For now, neither Walt Disney World Resort nor the Orange County Sheriff’s Office has issued a statement on the battery in the Magic Kingdom Park and Disney’s Contemporary Resort area on Monday afternoon.
