Law enforcement responded to reports of a violent outburst at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa on Wednesday morning. Here’s what Walt Disney World Resort guests need to know about the emergency response at the Deluxe Villa Resort near Disney Springs.
Battery Report at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa on July 1

At 10:35 a.m. on July 1, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call about a violent incident at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, which is located in the Disney Springs Resort area. Scanner monitoring account @WDWActiveCrime shared the call log on X (formerly known as Twitter), noting that operators had logged the situation as an incident of “Battery (Unwanted Touching or Striking Someone)”:
🚨 Police Alert 🚓 – 7/1/26 10:35 AM

The Google Maps screenshot attached to the X post pinpoints the emergency response in the center of Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that the battery occurred there. Law enforcement responses at the Central Florida Disney parks and hotels are often tracked at generalized addresses rather than the exact coordinates where the incident occurred.

It’s unclear whether this incident involved Walt Disney World Resort cast members, guests, or both. Walt Disney World Resort has not commented publicly on the emergency response, which isn’t unusual.
More information about the incident and those involved may become available from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office if criminal charges are filed and/or a police report is prepared.
How This Might Impact Walt Disney World Resort Guests

At this time, the My Disney Experience app shows that all dining locations, transportation, pools, and other guest amenities at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa are operating normally. No traffic delays are reported near the Deluxe Disney Villa Resort following the reported battery incident. If the law enforcement response is ongoing, some guests may be encouraged to use alternate routes through the Disney Springs Resort area hotel.
In general, guests who encounter emergency responses at Walt Disney World Resort should follow all instructions from cast members and authorities on the scene. Disney trains cast members to minimize the impact of on-property law enforcement activity on other theme park and hotel guests while respecting the privacy of victims or patients involved.
