No one likes the sequels. I don’t like the original trilogy anymore so to political controversy so that leaves the prequels that are the best. Revenge of the Sith is my top pick. Attack of the Clones is ok but I’m not fond of Phantom Menace.

Revenge of the Sith is definitely the best of prequels, featuring not only one of the best lightsaber fights, but showing how Anakin becomes Darth Vader, that Palpatine was the Emperor, and how the twins were dispersed into hiding.
Phantom Menace is probably the least favorite of the prequel fans, the only reason I’ll watch it is because of Qui-Gon and the lightsaber fight between him, young Obi-Wan and Maul.
(Disney trying to bring Maul back was another mistake because Obi sliced him in half. Trying to bring back dead characters just to keep a franchise alive is just lam e. If they had made it a prequel about how Maul came to work for Palpatine that would’ve been interesting)

True dat if you are cut in half by a lightsaber and fall down a shaft you cannot be pieced back together. When I first heard about it I was like, oh cool it’s his prequel story! Then I heard it’s his continuation and I’m like, um no he’s dead what in the blue blazes? People who write spin-offs, sequels and like all that…it’s like they have never watched the first stuff! Ditto with Boba Fett! He can’t have a book of continuation. He was swallowed by the plant in RotJ. The plant burped afterwards. End of his story.

        Smart people like the sequels

For the truest of the true Star Wars fans, the original trilogy is the ultimate favorites. (With many having said The Empire Strikes Back is the best of them) No other trilogy or spin-off show can beat them or take the place of them in the hearts of true fans.
I have heard, through the Disney grapevine, that the sequels were the least watched on Disney+. They are simply the worst because the original characters were killed off one by one. You just don’t do that. Secondly, Rey is not Skywalker bloodline. She is referred to as Rey Palpatine. Third, trying to bring back Emperor Palpatine was not a good idea.
I’m also going to praise that Disney acknowledged the Ewok films. I can understand why they may not be popular, I admit they’re slightly cheesy, but a lot of work was put into them and they are underrated. Battle for Endor was the best of the two but killing off Cindels family was uncalled for.
Perhaps it is time for Disney to consider “dusting off” the Ewok films shall we say and bring them back into the spotlight by bringing Cindel back in another upcoming film?
As for Starfighters, starring Ryan Gosling, it’s hard to say if it will do well or not. To me, Star Wars is not Star Wars without Jedi and lightsaber duels. (If Disney made Ryans character a Jedi that would really draw in fans!!) But I do wish Ryan’s success well. It’s rare for an actor like himself to not lay political pressure on audiences if they speak up about something they don’t like about a film. I would hate to see the movie do badly for his sake, it’s really not Ryan’s fault that Star Wars has become a quite dead franchise.
Now, as for the Mandalorian movie. I’m sure Pedros politics did not help at all, but that aside I have read comments from Mando fans saying that for them the Mandoverse ended for them after Season 2. I have a feeling if the movie had been turned into Season 4, had been more intense, had more of Luke Skywalker in it, Grogu had been older and talking by this time, that it would’ve been a bit more successful.
Overall, it’s time to let Star Wars rest. At least take a big break from it. This gives the audience time to actually want more and time for the writers to come up with something really good for a change rather than just thrown together slop.

Oh please, there is no contest. The original trilogy are the best. There is no replacing them. I’ve never seen any of Disney’s junk because that’s just pure fanfiction. Nothing will replace the original movies in the hearts of fans.

I agree the original was the best.

    2. JP

I agree. I played hookey from schoo to see the very first release of the Star Wars movie with ny friend Gary, We were so blown away we watched it again. I am 66 years old and that was the only time I have ever watched a movie twice in the same theatre back to back. Totally Awsome!!!

All three trilogies were produced in very different times.

  5. Jason

Did George Lucas already have the three prequels in mind when he wrote the originals?

  6. Daryl-Rhys

Sequels are better than prequels. Don’t be stupid.
