The reason the numbers of gators are rising is because people won’t kill them to control numbers. Too many people see animals as four legged human beings and see it only as we are a danger to them. While that’s still true, we need to remember that many animals are a danger to us and especially children. Animals are important to the ecosystem of course but human lives are more important and must come first.

I’m so glad the gators were removed and I hope will be humanely disposed of. More effort needs to be put into gator control for human safety purposes. My sympathies for the loss of the dear little boy. 💔

That’s truly heartbreaking. Poor innocent child to be pulled underwater by a monster. To lose his life far too soon!
Parents teach your children to stay far away from Florida waters! Alligators are aggressive killers and humans are not food for wildlife!

Poor little boy. The Florida wildlife control needs to step up their game on alligator population control. 414 is way too many alligators in one area. Stop treating animals as equals to human lives and start disposing of them. Not all of them mind you, but enough to keep the situation under control for the better if not only the humans but the alligators to. It’s not like alligators are an endangered species
