As a long time Disney family, I have to say Disney has pushed families to find another brand of recreation and family vacation destinations. They were always the leader, and are now resting on the past. The price increases have gotten out of hand for the average family. I am thankful we were able to afford the annual Disney vacation for out sons when they were growing up. Sadly that is not the case for our grandchildren. Our annual Disney trips cemented a love for all things Disney to our sons. They were doing the same for our grandchildren. The constant increases have force the family to look to Universal and other entertainment groups to develop new themes that are taking the place of the Disney brand. This saddens me as a grandmother, who is “in love with the mouse”! I hope the new leadership will improve things so more families will be able to afford to grow up with Disney and enjoy a Disney family trip more then just once. Disney, you make a smaller profit now, but will gain more revenue in the long term. Because our kids grew up within the Disney bubble, they wanted the same for their kids. They have had to look away to something more affordable. Now their kids are learning to think of that brand for entertainment instead of Disney. Down the line they will become their first choice. Is that what Disney sees as the future? I hope not!!!!!!!!!

Ok. I don’t get your argument. You are saying you can’t afford to go to Disney. Yet you are saying to go to Universal and others which are equally as expensive. It just sounds like you are being silly.
