I hate Tom Hanks but I do agree about the “franchise fatigue” thing. That’s why Star Wars is dead. Toy Story was a fine trilogy. It’s time for it to rest
Disagree with Tom Hanks politics, agree with what he’s saying about another cash grab sequel. For me, Toy Story is already over. The bar dropped low after the third so I just don’t care anymore. The first two were masterpieces. The third was tolerable but I would’ve preferred not giving Buzz a Spanish mode and Andy giving his toys to a boy not a dumb girl with already enough toys.
Well after I take over Disney and make it great again by bringing back the “What would Walt do?” mindset that ran it for decades after his passing they will be echoing Waternoose’s last words to Sully basically saying “I hope you’re happy, you’ve destroyed this company and its theme parks! The Walt Disney Company is dead! How will everyone see their favorite stories continue and where will people go to be immersed in their favorite Disney IPs now?!”
I’m not going to bother with this current movie so whatever. I read enough sp*ilers and reviews to know how truly horrid it is, what else left do they have to do unless Bonnie is going to college and Andy returns to get his toys back for his trans child?

Toy Story 14- Land of the Lost (The toys attempt to build a time machine to blip back to the early 1900’s but accidentally go back to the Stone Age where cave children don’t even know what toys are yet)
Toy Story 15- Sids Revenge (Mentally insane from his PTSD after having been frightened by toys in the first movie Sid attempts to run all the toys on Earth through a shredder like YouTubers do)
Toy Story 16- The Renewal (The toys are finally falling apart and can’t repair themselves so try to get to Santa where he makes them brand new by his magic)

I like Jessie because she was bold but not empowered but seeing her now in the lead role and leading a rescue team while Woody and Buzz are just pushed aside is just sickening. Basically I’ve got female fatigue and like Hanks said, franchise fatigue! Toy Story is now dead to me, except for the first two.

If Toy Story 4 had Toy Story 5s plot, Woody had never left, Buzz was never em@scul@ted and Andy returned in the end wanting his toys back for his own son, I would’ve kept watching. But no. Gotta toss men aside to let females take over, save redeemed female tablets and marry men in skirts
Lilypad was “just misunderstood” 🙄 I was really hoping Bonnie would either realize much she didn’t really care about the tablet in the first place and tuck it away somewhere, give it away or what would’ve been funnier is if it had broken and Bonnie was like, oh well 😄

Therefore Woody will need to sound young again and that can only be obtained through an AI voice. In the first movie Mr Potato Head said that Woody had been Andy’s favorite since kindergarten. That’s all I needed to know about Woodys past with Andy but always assumed he was a gift from Andy’s absent father. In the second I know Andy’s mother made a remark to Al that Woody was an old family toy and later Woody finds that he is part of a 50’s kid show. I can disregard that, however because that opens a confusing window of questioning if Woody had another owner if not two before Andy which makes no since because Woody never said one word about any other child in his life other than Andy. Even with as many times as I’ve seen the second I still find it difficult to believe that Woody was associated with a TV show. In the first movie, Buzz Lightyear although not believing he was a toy at first, was still aware of the other characters associated with his franchise (Zurg & Star Command). Mr. Potato Head knew of a Mrs. out there before Molly received her for Christmas at the end. Even Rex knew what company he was from and went into detail about it but Woody never knew of Jessie, Pete and Bullseye?
So anyways, if 6 is going to be Woody’s prequel I’m sure Disney is going to dream up all this nonsense about Woody’s previous owner or owners leading up until he is given to a very young Andy just to milk him dry and stick in “the message”
Omg you are probably right. Idk what politics Disney would throw in there but they will for sure find something considering they already did away with Woody’s belief that you should stick with your child no matter how little you’re played with

That or if they’re serious about focusing on Woody again they’ll have one of his previous owners be black and/or a girl
