Shrek franchise was always dubbed as rather “adult” but I’m sure children watch it to. That Gingy “caked up” thing was sickening even to adults. They went way too far with this one and I’m assuming it’s going to rightfully tank at the box office this hopefully preventing anymore Shrek sequels from happening
S*x jokes were in the other movies but were more toned down and subtle. Now it’s on full force now. Do your kids a favor and don’t let them watch this trash.
Not a Shrek fan but I did watch the trailer and was immediately grossed out. Too many sequels to a franchise is just not a good thing. Same thing with Toy Story and Star Wars. Each sequel gets worse because the wr iters and designers get worse
The trailers aren’t not revealing yet but people are assuming the plot will involve the typical girlboss stereotype; that it’ll be Shrek’s daughter to be the big hero to save her family after running away because she feels her father is too overprotective.
Best thing to do when movie companies keep shelling out sequel after sequel after sequel and each one gets worse and dumber is to draw a line for yourself. Pick which movie was the perfect ending for you and pretend all other sequels don’t exist. I’ve had to do this many times, that’s why I’m not watching Toy Story 5, Shrek 5, Ice Age…what is it 6 or 7 by now?…or anymore Star Wars. It ends where I let it end for me.
At least there’s only three How to Train your Dragon movies but since they’re remaking all three they’re not sacred anymore either. If it’s not ten sequels it’s ALWAYS a live action aka CGI remake
Wut??!? There’s another ice age coming out? I thought their daughter grew up and got married what else is left other than humans rising up and killing the prehistoric mammals off into extinction? If Manny Sid and Diego were humans they’d be pushing 60-65 by now what in tarnation?
There’s a lot of non-swear words that Disney won’t allow yet they allow swearing and bul lying which is why I wish they would tell you what words to not use or whatever

Helon of Troy is Greek.
Maleficent was not a misunderstood mother figure.
Ice age ended after the first one.
Supergirl is not a d r u n k dad hater.
Adam never lived on Earth and He-Man is not toxic masculinity.

Zendaya is voicing Shreks daughter I think which is another big turn off for many because she’s overused like Pedro Pascal is. Anyhow I’m pretty sure they’ll be femininizing another franchise and she’ll “be the girl she’s meant to be” and lead an army to go save her weak father, brothers and uncle donkey or give some bold speech to the town and make them see the err of their ways or whatever
The change of design isn’t the most major reason to avoid this movie. I could’ve thrown up when they had gingerbread man wiggling his “caked” behind out same with donkey. Butt jokes are over and highly inappropriate to children who I’m sure watch this franchise.

So why why why does every movie ever made have to have ten sequels??? Guess I should be grateful they haven’t done a live action remake of the first one.
