A new Jurassic World Rebirth installment has been confirmed, but Scarlett Johansson is nowhere to be seen.
Last summer, Jurassic World Rebirth, the seventh film in the long-running Jurassic series, grossed $869.1 million worldwide (although it received poor reviews across the board). The film introduced a third abandoned InGen island named Île Saint-Hubert, where dinosaurs and failed genetic mutations had been left to their own devices. The plot revolves around a mission to acquire life-saving prehistoric DNA, led by Scarlett Johansson’s covert ops expert Zora Bennett.

Jurassic World Rebirth Is Back
Now, a sequel is rumored to be in development, with director Gareth Edwards and Johansson allegedly in negotiations to return. But until that gets confirmed by Universal, fans will just have to make do with the newly revealed Rebirth DLC expansion for Jurassic World Evolution 3.
Released last year, Jurassic World Evolution 3 is the latest entry in the popular park management simulation video game series. “Help life find a way,” the synopsis for the game reads. “Build your own Jurassic World like never before. Nurture generations of awe-inspiring dinosaurs with the series debut of juveniles, create and manage sprawling prehistoric parks around the globe, and let your imagination roar with powerful new creative options.”
Now, Frontier Developments has unveiled the Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion trailer, which confirms the return of the mysterious InGen island and its bizarre genetic creations. Watch it below:
Jurassic World Rebirth Cast Unlikely to Appear
But while the expansion brings back Île Saint-Hubert, along with dinosaurs and mutant creatures from the film, the film’s cast, which includes Johansson, Jonathan Bailey (Dr. Henry Loomis), and Mahershala Ali (Duncan Kincaid), are unlikely to appear.
Although with that said, they could appear through vocal work, similar to Jeff Goldblum, who lends his voice as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the Evolution 3 base game, having previously appeared in the first two games alongside Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) and BD Wong (Henry Wu). As such, we may see Scarlett Johansson, for instance, undergo the same treatment in the DLC.
Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion will be available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S from June 16. Visit the official website to find out more.
