  1. I’m a bit confused. I understand that those not staying on property be limited access. However, if one is staying on ANY property hotel, are they also limited access to walkways and hotel hopping? Can someone confirm this please.

I love what Disney is doing! It’s about time. We have been staying at SS for 20 years and the crowds at the pool keep getting bigger and bigger every year. It’s not just shopping and getting bite to eat, the resort hoppers also think t they have rights to the resort pools? Go away!!

Maybe Dusbey should make the people that stay and use the pool enter from locked door to the pool that only opens when one uses the keycard for your rooms too.

I don’t think people outside the hotels are going to the pools. You just complaining. I hotel hop all the time and spend my money. I have never cheated on parking. Disney won’t get my food or shopping money now! Guess you will soon pay more now with the loss of people not being able to shop and dine at disney hotels. Disney will have to recoup the loss of that money on you the hotel paying guest.

No, Bob! My money is as good as anyone elses.

I love resort hoping while staying on property and seeing where will stay next trip. I guess that’s another magical part of Disney gone now. It’s a shame that over indulgence is winning over good family fun.

We can thank all those people that park at Disney Springs for free and use the bus to the hotels and then to the parks for FREE instead of just paying to park for this. I always park at EPCOT and then walk to the Broadwalk/Beach club to catch the bus to Disney Springs. Then when I am ready to go back to EPOCT would walk to the resort that is less than a 5 minute walk. But now that is not the case. Again thanks

It’s all the entitled passholes and vloggers that have now ruined it for everyone else. Just like Anaheim.

As a DVC member since 2008, we have enjoyed being able to take a break midday or early meal before fireworks at the bar or quick service places that do not take reservations. I am very disappointed this is happening. It has been one of he park hopper plusses. Example be at Hollywood, take boat to yatch club, to grab a bite then go to Epcot.

  7. Why oh why is Disney so intent on chasing some of its most loyal fans away. Resort hopping has always been a favorite non-park day activity. We enjoy eating at the great restaurants but sometimes opted just for checking out the property’s quick service and doing some shopping (each resort has some unique offerings). This is something we will greatly miss if it gets completely restricted. Sorry, Disney, you’re pushing me away more every year.

I guess it is their park, so they can do what they want, but all the price increases have put Disney out of reach for us. We used to be able to enjoy rides, hotels and food and still keep our total budget around $30 per hour (per person), now it is well over $100 per hour, plus another $100 per ride.

We have some happy memories of Disney, but these days we don’t have the budget.

I am starting to get a bit concerned about all of this. As a DVC owner and out of state pass holder, anything can happen with us.

Most of the time, these changes have zero impact to us.

But now I am thinking about those times we went to Disney with others. Was not uncommon for us to drive down and meet up with family or friends from New York for a couple of days during their week long vacations. Then Covid and reservations made that difficult to impossible.

Now that reservations are much easier, we were starting to get back to the way things were.

So, now sounds like I cannot go to MK for the day and meet my sister over at the Contemporary for a fast meal. An unplanned to to Whispering Canyon is now out of the question?

For many veteran Guests who return to the Parks and resorts, being told they can’t tour what their patrnage had helped develop is sheer madness! Folks waited for years for the completion of the Walk Around the Lagoon pathway…and NOW we can’t access it!? Best rethink this faux pas! It would be like closing the walkway between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios because you don’t want Guests to visit the resort hotels along the way! What fooliness!

We resort hopped this past week without any problems. No one stopped to ask if we had a hotel or dinner reservation. We are annual passholders, so parking was not an issue.

  12. Kelsey

And at what point did Disney confirm this?

  13. Cat

OMG, People going nuts. If your a Disney Resort guest at any of their hotels, you use transportation and visit resorts. If you are a NON resort Disney Guest wanting to get from DS to a resort , your SOL unless you having a dining ADR. A NON resort Disney guest can still pay to park at one of the parks. From there you can still jump on a resort transportation and go visit. For the cut off at the TTC to Poly walkway, this is for NON resort Disney Guest. Jump on Ferry or Express monorail to MK. Transfer over to resort monorail and knock yourself out visiting the loop resorts….

The magic is gone. Disney has become become just another money grubbing corporation. And the way they are going they should change the name to marvel world

  15. HG

When the tourists numbers are low, it’s the locals that keep the parks going. I loved park hopping and resort hopping but I guess that era is gone. Dollywood here I come.

  16. Steve

Confirm your information. I walked the complete route and NO ONE stopped me. Signs were up pointing to Walkway to Magic Kingdom. Stopped in all hotel lobbies and shops. Got to Magic Kingdom and asked security if they are stopping anyone from walking, NO they are not! A FALSE rumor!

Love this! People just visit the Disney Resorts all the time. They use the pools, lobbies, lounges, etc. All you have to do is show up at any park and take the bus to the resort. Season pass holders get free parking at the parks. If you’re spend big bucks to stay at Disney then it should be for paying guests at that particular resort. Even if you are staying at a different Disney resort than that is all you should be able to visit.

I apologize for the times I have taken my value resort staying morning jog through a deluxe resort.
