Walt Disney World Resort is putting the finishing touches on the newest addition to the Canada World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT. La Poutinerie, a Quick-Service dining location replacing the former Refreshment Port, is scheduled to open on Canada Day, July 1.

The Refreshment Port Quick-Service dining kiosk near the World Celebration entrance to the EPCOT World Showcase closed for refurbishment in January. The standalone building, not part of any country pavilion, served DOLE Whip, specialty poutines, and standard Disney Park snack fare.

A few months went by before Walt Disney World Resort announced that Refreshment Port would never reopen. Instead, Disney revealed that the Canada World Showcase Pavilion would expand to include the building, which would be transformed into La Poutinerie, sponsored by Air Canada. The new Quick-Service dining location will offer several poutines and specialty beverages when it opens on July 1, 2026.

EPCOT guests have been watching the construction of La Poutinerie for several months now, and it’s finally nearing completion. Most recently, crews repainted the roof and installed decorative stonework on the chimney.

Overnight, according to WDWNT, Disney cast members installed the La Poutinerie signs on the roof. A message has also been painted above one of the pick-up windows, reading “Ready For Taste Off!”

Rolling planters still block La Poutinerie from EPCOT guests, but the building’s transformation appears mostly complete. Menu boards, decorative posters, and other themed elements are just barely visible above the barricades.

La Poutinerie opens in the Canada World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT on July 1. Air Canada describes the Quick-Service dining location as: “A taste of Canada at EPCOT. La Poutinerie, hosted by Air Canada brings a Canadian classic with a twist.”
