Halloween Land Overlays at Disneyland Resort
On Tuesday, Disney Parks Blog shared a comprehensive list of the Halloween, Día de los Muertos, and fall fun coming to Disneyland Resort this autumn. The not-so-spooky season will take over the Southern California Disney parks from August 21 to October 31, 2026.

Halloween Time returns to Disneyland Resort from Aug. 21–Oct. 31, and Plaza de la Familia returns to Disney California Adventure Aug. 21–Nov. 2

Returning to Disney California Adventure Park are spooky area overlays for Cars Land and Avengers Campus. Cars Land will become Radiator Screams, with automobile residents throughout the area dressed in their finest “car-stumes.” The festive makeover will include “car-achnids,” a “pump-kin” patch, and two returning attraction overlays: Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree and Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween.
Each night, guests can visit Radiator Screams for a haunting “Sha-BOO” experience. Neon lights throughout Cars Land will flicker and illuminate the roads, accompanied by a spooky soundtrack.
In Avengers Campus, guests can enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark overlay on Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!, beginning in the late afternoon each day during the Halloween season. Guests team up with Rocket Raccoon to distract monsters on the loose and save Groot from the Collector’s Fortress.
