Disney Springs has spent the past several years building a reputation as one of the most underrated stops on a Walt Disney World vacation, and this summer, the shopping, dining, and entertainment district is leaning into that reputation with one of the most densely programmed seasonal calendars it has offered in recent memory. From a brand new gaming venue to fresh dining concepts and a wave of returning summer favorites, Cool Kids Summer at Disney Springs has been delivering something new on what feels like a weekly basis since the season kicked off in late May. The latest addition to that lineup is a genuinely creative piece of family entertainment that turns a single corner of the district into a high-energy celebration of Polynesian culture, and it is exactly the kind of free, accessible experience that makes Disney Springs worth building into a Walt Disney World itinerary even on days when a theme park visit is not on the agenda.

The Disney Springs Kids Club is hosting an interactive Polynesian show at The Marketplace Splash Pad as part of the broader Cool Kids Summer programming, and it is one of the more inventive entertainment offerings the district has introduced this season.

What the Polynesian Show Actually Includes

The performance invites young guests and their families to dance, play, and fully immerse themselves in the aloha spirit through high-energy, interactive entertainment deeply inspired by Polynesian culture. Guests can groove to vibrant music and learn traditional dances influenced by the islands of the South Pacific, including Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, New Zealand, and Fiji.

Adding to the celebration, DJ Katie KD Queen Beck leads the daytime party with a mix of activities designed to keep both kids and adults engaged, including hula hooping, limbo, games, and continuous dancing throughout the performance window. The combination of live music, audience participation, and cultural storytelling gives the event a different energy than a standard character meet and greet or stage show, and the interactive nature of the experience means guests are not simply watching from the sidelines.

The show takes place at The Marketplace Splash Pad, located in The Landing area of Disney Springs. Performances run every Saturday and Sunday from May 26 through September 8, 2026, with three daily showtimes at 10:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m., and 12:00 p.m. Because the event is held outdoors, all entertainment and showtimes remain subject to change or cancellation, particularly during inclement weather, which is worth keeping in mind given Florida’s reliably unpredictable summer storm patterns.

Everything Else New at Disney Springs This Summer

The Polynesian show is one piece of a significantly expanded Disney Springs summer lineup. Level99, a sprawling adult and teen-focused gaming venue featuring more than 60 life-sized mini games and real-world challenges, opens June 29 at Disney Springs West Side, marking the company’s fourth and largest venue to date with more than 40 original art installations alongside 63 Challenge Rooms. Tickets become available June 22.

On the dining side, Six Ravens is preparing to open at The Landing, a new concept from the team behind Gideon’s Bakehouse specializing in grab-and-go hand pies called Coffyns, inspired by medieval European pastry traditions and paired with smashed potatoes and house-made dips. Vans opened a new footwear and apparel location this month, and the Oakley store reopened with a refreshed design. The Kakigori Kool cart outside Morimoto Asia is serving Japanese shaved ice with fruity syrups and toppings, including strawberry popping boba and fresh pineapple, a genuinely smart addition for guests navigating the summer heat.

Goofy’s Candy Company introduced a create-your-own popcorn experience with flavors including caramel, buttered, and an exclusive orange citrus option, while Amorette’s Patisserie is offering Mickey and Minnie Cookie Art kits with edible watercolor paints and new beach-themed designs for the summer season.

On select nights, the AdventHealth Waterside Stage hosts DescenDANCE Party x Camp Rock Jam, a high-energy dance party built around music from upcoming Disney+ original films Descendants: Wicked Wonderland and Camp Rock 3. Guests can also catch Drawn to Life, presented by Cirque du Soleil and Disney, with a discounted child ticket at $25 through September 6 for performances running through September 20.

Why This Summer Is Different at Disney Springs

What makes this season notable is the sheer density of new and returning experiences arriving within the same several-month window. A family spending a single day at Disney Springs this summer could realistically catch the Polynesian show in the morning, grab Kakigori shaved ice in the afternoon heat, let kids decorate cookies at Amorette’s Patisserie, and close the evening with a dance party at the Waterside Stage, all without setting foot inside a theme park.

For families with young children specifically, the Disney Springs Kids Club Polynesian show offers something that is increasingly rare at Walt Disney World: a free, high-energy, genuinely interactive entertainment experience that does not require a ticket, a reservation, or standing in line. Every Saturday and Sunday morning through September 8, The Marketplace Splash Pad becomes one of the more joyful corners of the entire resort.
