The prices are becoming out of reach for so many people! And parking going up 33% is ridiculous!! I have been coming since 1976 with my family, then others, and alone since the kids grew up. I was there this past May, and I decided that that was my last trip to Disney World and Disneyland. The prices are impossible to justify anymore. There are many other places to visit that are in reach for families and Seniors.
How unfortunate! Disneyland use to be the ,” Want to go place”, now, most people can’t afford to park, eat, buy gifts, let alone afford the ticket prices. I recently went in March 2026, for the first time in 10+ years . My son and I took my five year old grandson for his first visit. It left me feeling sad.
I have been going to Disney Orlando since 1976.i started going with my parents, then as a single, followed by with my husband, then children, followed by grandchildren. 50 years, many with resident passes, staying in the resorts, eating in sit down restaurants and buying gifts in gift shops. It is no longer enjoyable to go there an longer. Everything is nickle and dimed to death, has to be strictly planned out and on your phone constantly to update. For the current prices, restrictions and stress it is easier and cheaper to travel overseas or stay at the Ritz and actually feel like you had a vacation with real service. You know, feel like an actual valued guest versus a dollar sign.
Disney prices are now positively obscene. Not only that but they allow far too many people in the parks so that sometimes you may only be able to get on three or four rides in a day. We took our children 3 times when they were children and into their teenage years, but now they are in their 40s they cannot afford to take their own children despite being in full time employment. Typical money obsessed American business. If Walt were alive today he’d be furious !
