The first thing we used to do was run over and make our reservation at the Blue Bayou. It is an important part of our visits to Disneyland for the last fifty plus years. I have to admit there have been changes that make Disneyland less special but we still love it. We’ll wait for Pirates to reopen before returning to the park.
If they really want to make a killing on the pirates of the Caribbean attraction… They could charge me $500 to… dress like a pirate, sit among the animatronic pirates (maybe the scene on the dock) and chug a beer for 5 minutes.
I hope they don’t do what they did on splash mountain. All disney did was add these weird screens in the ride that look horrible and pointless. I read projectors and I get worried. Hopefully they think practical magic vs awful digital magic
Pirates is our families 1st ride of the day and the last ride before we leave. This was passed down from my dad who absolutely loved the ride. Every time I ride it I can hear my dad telling, as a little girl, to look at how real the hair on the pirates leg looks. Can’t wait to ride it again. ❤️☠️
Rhey needed to do some updayes. Compared to whatthey did with the ride in the newer disney parks California looks old and outdated. The ceiling is an eyesire and capt jack needs to retire.
The blue bayou needs expanding you csn never get reservations there anymore its too small to ccxomodate rhe crowds. Takw out the old sorry gift shops down the way from the ecit point of the ride and make a fantastic redo of theses very favorite atteactions!
You got that right! Johnny Depp IS Pirates of the Caribbean. He was acquitted on all charges regarding Amber Heard, yet he is still being persecuted. Please give him his due and reinstate him as Captain Jack Sparrow! As to the subject of Blue Bayou, we celebrated my husband’s 82nd birthday there. Price was way over $100 and his food was inedible.
It almost seems pointless to say anything. Those running Disney don’t seem to listen to anything anybody says. I agree Walt would be rolling over in his grave at what these greedy people have allowed and done to the Disney name.

Captain Jack IS Pirates of the Caribbean! He makes the ride so much more fun. Blue Bayou needs an overhaul. The food is overpriced, crap.
