As someone who was unfortunate enough to get behind a family of 9 that had everyone’s tickets on one phone, I am not a fan of moving from Magicband+ to smartphone. We finally moved to a different line, and still entered the park ahead of them.
I hope Disney will continue to support Magicband and Magicband+ for a long time!
I agree with Marcia. Why can’t people put down their phones? It holds way too much information which makes me feel uncomfortable. Facial recognition? That will not work. Too many people it is bound to make mistakes. Me personally, I liked my annual pass with the barcode on the back.
Universal does facial and it works just fine. If you dont flow with technology you’ll get lost in the crowd. Its the future. The old school way is outdated.
I agree with the above comment. Families with tickets all on one smart phone Al always holding up the lines in Walt Disney Florida. Looks like it is only going to get worse.
Ive noticed that the bands are no longer displayed everywhere for purchase at the parks and resorts. I remember them offering the originals for free. Ive got 6 or 8 that are still activated. 😆 I never was attracted to the new + ones because after getting them for free, I couldn’t justify the steep price. If it goes all digital thats cool. I have an annual pass with Universal. They use facial. Its a smoother process. Im good! Just along for the ride with Disney 😉.
I agree that we have been stuck behind the parent trying to pull up multiple tickets.
I LOVE my magic band for the pool! The last thing I want to do it take my phone to the pool.
And after a long day at the park I don’t want to scroll through my phone just tap my band and straight into the room!!!
Once again I believe Disney cannot see the forest through the trees..MB technology is what makes Disney special, creates part of the magic and seperates them. Like the Magic Express, eliminating these special things makes you like every other theme park. Do better Disney
