I was born the same year the first movie came out and I watched both it and the second growing up. I still watch them; I watched them both yesterday. I watched the third in theaters with my mom. I wasn’t aware they made a fourth until my coworker showed me the trailer on her phone. I was like, are they serious? I didn’t bother running to the theater for that. Instead I bought the DVD later in the year. That sequel was a insulting slap in the face to the franchise. This one is yet another punch in the face. Hard pass

This isn’t Toy Story. This is Toy Girlboss Cowgirl vs Toy Evil Female iPad. Once again Disney destroys a franchise just to overshadow beloved male characters with feminism.

I don’t care if oh boo hoo it’s toy story! wah wah wah my childhood! It ain’t my toy story and it ain’t my childhood. It’s my childhood rewritten to suit the modern female audience

Toy Story was all about being loyal and working together and sticking together as friends. Toy Story 4 and Lilo and Stitch remake taught us that Disney is re-teaching kids all about ditching your family and friends to do your own independent calling. If this unnecessary sequel is supposed to be Disney’s apology for upsetting fans about the fourth well apology not accepted you’ve already ruined my childhood characters and there’s no looking back

I wish the fourth never existed and the fifth never existed should’ve ended with the third

  8. I remain a Toy Story fan, although I have been disappointed in a few of the overly femininestic themes.

As an earlychildhood educator, parent and grandparent, I cannot deny that open-ended, creative toys are competing for time with a child because technology is everywhere and easily accessible. Have you seen little ones in a restaurant playing on their parent’s phone?

I don’t feel all tech is bad and it seems “Lilly Pad” may have an educational benefit. Honestly, the amount of time spent with tech matters as much as the content.
