Toy Story 4 was not good. Forky might be the worst Pixar character developed. Most fans of the franchise will tell you that ending wasn’t wanted, needed, or necessary.
Jesse becoming the leader would only occur if she became Bonnie’s favorite toy. Otherwise it woukd be Buzz who the other toys look up too. I certainly hope that wasn’t done to create a girl’s appeal a la Cars 3.
Aging Woody and not the rest of the Toys makes ZERO sense. It’s a kid’s movie, symbolism isn’t needed except for the writers.
