It’s all about the money! Forget the people who bought tickets, maybe saved for years to go to Disney!! Disney is NOT family friendly any more. Walt would turn over in his grave to see what his legacy has turned into!
How is this any different from Disney having one of their separate Halloween or Christmas events? If you don’t have a ticket for that event then you leave early. Seems very similar to me yet I don’t see a bunch of articles about it.
