And I left Star Wars behind after Disney left us behind! See how that works? 👍

Not being a big movie goer, this is a sad moment. Not sure why they can’t have both. I realize this is about bigger money tied to being cost sufficient. Bigger money comes from films. It says a lot about the state of Star Wars and financial needs. I hope abd wish them success and this does not backfire on them. I just hope they can bring in the numbers they wanted and not fall flat. I doubt even with their enormous talent that if this falls flat, their loss of fans and financis can recover from that.

  3. Star Wars is like sex. Even bad Star Wars is *still* Star Wars! A major shift is concerning, but if this turns out to be a mistake, the franchise can take a hit. Again. It’s a legendary cinematic story of several generations spanning almost 50 years. Who else can say that?

The Simpsons. Which is also getting ruined by Disney.

Cool. Now the next step in reviving the franchise should be to get Disney to sell the IP and have the new owner retcon the disastrous sequels and spin offs.

      Yes exactly

    2. Kothos

      Totally agree.

Disney will never sell Star Wars. Keep dreaming sleepy Joe

What an odd thing to bring politics into 🫣

      💯

I hope it’s successful I love Star Wars regardless but these days there’s no guarantee for success because a sect of “fans” pretty much crushed the franchise via review bombing causing casual fans to stay away. It’s a bummer that more shows aren’t coming since it’s easier for people like myself to see.

The franchise is so dead they couldn’t revive it if they tried. What NEEDS to happen is rerelease the Ewok movies on DVD. The Caravan of Courage and The Battle for Endor.

I own these on DVD and love them!

      1. Anne

They are very good, although I admit Caravan of Courage isn’t as good as Battle for Endor. I don’t understand why they had to kill off Cindels family though. And if Disney is looking for a new story they should have Cindel return to Endor to visit Wicket or something

It’s just a money grab. Why would people used to watching a series for 6 to 8 hours per year from the comfort of their own home switch to only a maybe 2 hour movie that they have to go to a theater and watch!

  8. Kristy

I enjoyed going to the theater to see a Star Wars movie! The crowds the excitement the people cosplaying it was awesome. I did enjoy the shows Disney made including the acolyte and skeleton crew but I am an OG fan. The sequels sucked . I loved Rogue One but episodes 7-9 no. I’d rather watch the prequels with the annoying Jar Jar Binks.

This is incredibly stupid. I don’t go to the movies anymore and I never will again. If it’s not available on streaming I just don’t watch it.
