Why don’t they just change the name to PASTLAND or NOSTALGIAVILLE or GRANDPASLAND. Feel free to come up with your own. It would save some money for the shareholders.
Card carrying gasoline engine fan here. Autopia is a giant waste of space as it is. I’ve read it on each of my last few visits to Disney and every time I tell myself this ride would be a far better experience if it had electric vehicles that went faster. There are plenty of rides people line up for for the nostalgia… This one isn’t one of them.
Those “younger kids” will most likely never drive a gasoline powered automobile in their lifetime. If the intent is to give kids a taste of their future, switching to electric makes perfect sense.
The gasoline engines will be replaced eventually, and calling the change “woke” makes you nothing more than a crybaby snowflake. Boo Hoo. Did you cry foul when they changed all the incandescent bulbs to LEDs? Get a life.
