Disney spent approximately 165 million to make this movie. They must have spent another 100 million on marketing alone. They must have spent another 100 million to pay their w r i t e r s to keep w r i t i n g about it and about “The Kissing Soyboy”. The movie would need to make close to 400-500 million to break even. Its numbers have been predicted to be lower than Solo. Disney will of course not learn their lesson about this. They never will.
1. People saw early on that it was boring.
2. Just because you’re a Star Wars fan doesn’t make you a fan of *Disney* Star Wars. People who are real fans of the originals aren’t bothering to keep up with the junk Disney puts out. They already have their favorites that cannot be won over.
3. Usual political hatred controversy like Mark’s post.
4. Usual icon offensiveness like Pedro’s little kissing scene.
5. The Baby Yoda fad has wore off. Many are tired of the fifty year old baby that can’t talk.
Now the twits who aren’t going to believe me obviously don’t check YouTube comments from various news videos and reviews. These are facts. And the movie flopped.
I’m in Texas and the Gaydalorian and Goo Goo hasn’t started playing in my local theater yet. They’re still running Animal Farm from Fallen Angel Studios which was also a major flop due to multiple problems. People want to be entertained without worrying about virtue signaling, political controversy and messaging. That’s why a lot of movies don’t well anymore.
It was marketed for kids and is extremely lame. Even today’s kids would find it lame not to mention boring. But one of the big reasons it failed was because this version is not following the original 1940’snovel very well. There are two other adaptions that are better. Another one of the controversies was Seth Rogan and his crummy fart jokes. But I meanif I had to choose between that movie and this Gay Wars movie I’d suggest the animal farm if you just want to pick a family movie

No one cares about political pedro. The movie is failing despite all the heavy marketing.
