They should keep the costumes that’s how people know they are workers.

    1. Kyla

I completely agree. The costume just adds to the experience. If I am at the parks I want to know who is an actual employee.

      1. AaronJ001

Obviously, the one behind the counter is the employee…

      2. AaronJ001

If they’re behind a counter they are an employee. Common sense

Agree 💯 The costumes are part of the “Magic” and the cast members should still wear them. I could see a change in type, as long as it fits in the decor & aren’t heavy, but all should be the same.

      4. Traci

I agree also. This is part of Disney magic.

  2. B

I agree then I know who I’m looking for. Another thing Disney is changing that takes away from the ambiance that made if special

Keep the costumes everywhere in the parks. The costumes are the way to pick out Disney’s employees for help and guidance. You act like you are dressed. They will be more productive and willing to help in themed costumes.

  4. Bridgett

The old coustoms where colorful and full of life these new ones are blain and plain keep color at Disney dont make it boring….

I don’t agree with the idea that a Costume can match a cast members gender identity rather than their gender assigned at birth. I do NOT think this is appropriate for children to view a male cast member at Disney in female clothes.

    1. Traci

Agree wholeheartedly. Another way to get people to stop coming. Take away part of the magic .

      1. Traci

I don’t want to see a man/women playing dress up because they feel like a different gender . Do that on your own time. Not at Disney. Stop playing into this agenda .

    2. Big daddy

I agree. I know if a dude in a beard wearing a dress approaches my young daughter, there will be a problem.

    3. CB

I know many families and individuals who will no longer go to Disney because of this! There are 2 genders and they should dress accordingly to Disney’s guidelines. They should promote family values like Walt intended!

      1. Greg

Good. It’s crowded enough as it is. I’m okay with prejudiced people who aren’t educated on the subject (and don’t even attempt to be) just staying home. More room for everyone else.

As for family values…Pirates of the Caribbean for decades had men chasing women and a woman being auction off like she was property or livestock. Is that family values? LOL

  6. Melissa

It is all about the bottom line? They don’t want to have to hire people to sew new costumes are keep up with mending costumes? Disney is really ruining everything. There’s no more magic!

  7. Allison M

All Cast Members should continue to wear appropriate uniforms/costumes. Keep the magic alive *throughout* the parks, and that includes Cast Members. Furthermore, I do NOT want to see a man wearing women’s clothing (or vice versa). Employees should cross dress on their own time, NOT AT WORK.

      AGREED!

  8. Greg

I don’t like this change at all and think the vintage costumes should stay the same, not be “business casual”. I wonder why just these stores?

And those above who posted disparaging things about transgender people don’t know what they are talking about. No guy with a beard is going to be wearing a dress chasing your kids. Sheesh…where do some of you get these notions from? Total fear mongering, that’s all that is. Relax. It’ll be fine.

    1. Rick

“And those above who posted disparaging things about transgender people….” The reality is that transgenders are mental, and who would want them around young children? NO ONE. Let them practice their “gender identities” on their OWN time, in their OWN homes. We don’t need to see that at Disney, or at any other family venue.

  9. Disney is not Disney without costuming

How do you know who is left walking around

Another bow the crazies running Disney

Soon now better than carnival shows and sea world

  10. Rick

    Agreed!
