On the contrary, I’d say nothing of value was lost. Star Wars is dead. It’s been milked bone dry for too long.

As a massive star wars fan i do think the franchise is dying. Its ran out of steam sadly.

One movie would have been reasonable. It would be enough to fix most issues. Getting the go ahead for 3 movies was always too big of an ask.

  3. Good, Disney Star Wars is fan fiction

“Always interesting, making another Star wars movie” this attitude is the reason it failed, a bunch of jaded people who have no love or passion for the story, just in to push another piece of material to “the audience”. It should be an honor and a lifetime achievement even to start thinking of constructing on top of the StarWars saga. These people are like: ” yeah star wars was cool but how about we push our agenda”

  5. The day Disney put a Limit on Cannon, leaving out decades of Novels, they (Disney) Hurt the entire Star Wars U.Lets be honest, ALL Disney saw was a “cash cow” to exploit and their interference has been a Constant. I am hoping with Dave taking over we will get better and improved Story telling and true Toy lines decaded to what Fans want.

I see you’ve used your “sparked debate” macro there. Very good.

If they can raise Darth Maul from the dead, despite being cut in half, they can rsise Ben Solo from the dead just as easily. But can they tell a good story? The last 3 didn’t do this to anyones satisfaction. People would rather write stories between episode 2 and 4 than to add on anything after episode 6. 7-9 were a trainwreck.
