Jack Sparrow needs to return, especially if it involves a Son , carrying on The Legacy, so it is woven together to carry on the next chapters of this Great Movie. My opinion & as I am sure of many others, Johnny Depp, Needs To return & close it , if he wishes. He is the Orignal Jack Sparrow, and created life into that character. I doubt there is a young man anywhere who can fill Johnny Depp’s boots, so to speak, and make people love him just as much as we love Jack.
I am willing to be proven wrong, but so far I haven’t seen anyone who could do it. He would have to be sexy, smart, sweet and utterly bonkers all at the same time and there’s not many people out there who can pull off that trick.
Oh, by the way, if they do find him can we please have Helena Bonham Carter as his meddling mum? And not just as a cameo.

I personally have wanted to see a Davy Jones origin story for YEARS now, telling how he came to cross paths with Calypso, how she cursed him & then bound him to the Flying Dutchman for all eternity! Ironically, we saw how he returned at the end credits scene from the last movie, so what happens next??
I would love to see Johnny Depp return as Jack Sparrow. I’ve been eagerly awaiting Pirates 6. I truly hope Disney moves forward with production. It’s also a good idea to introduce new characters to help propel the plot forward in order to allow new storylines, but Jack Sparrow is a main stay…at least in the transition period from father to son, if that is indeed where the franchise is going. Just my two cents and many others!
Depp is by far the entire reason they were able to make 5 successful movies and could probably make 5 more with him. The fact they want to backseat this for Top Gun is crazy. The first movie was more than enough of them, let alone #2. We really dont need subjected to a 3rd.
It will happen when some one reminds those in charge just Exactly how much Money it will make.Until then stay calm and move on.
I wanna see Jerry B put some focus on the “Alien Legion” movie he has been reported attached to.If done right this could be the next big thing.
Disney needs to get a Gargoyles relaunch to the Big Screen.

Without Johnny Depp, there is no Pirates movie. Captain Jack made the movies. I agree with others that if they go with the son route, they’ll have to include Depp to kind of pass the torch.
It is pretty simple…if Johnny Depp isn’t in a movie as Captain Jack Sparrow then I won’t be in a movie theater paying for a Pirates of the Caribbean movie ticket.
Agreed. No Johnny, no magic. Unbelievable that they would even consider going forward without him. But then Disney(what’s left of it) was stupid enough to drop him already..one of the biggest financial blunders in movie history, imo. Truly heads should have rolled over that one.
Bring it back, by all means. With Johnny Depp on board. And the rest of the original principles, especially Rush.
Or don’t ruin it with people who could never fill those shoes.
Believe it or not, some things are still sacred, particularly with movie fans.
