Might i suggest that the reason for the closure in the first part of May is so that they are ready for record crowd levels in June and July after school is out for the summer. Perhaps the author doesn’t realize that the number of families coming during early May is extremely low compared to the summer months.
Probably a more concerning issue is that I was there with my wife this past December and who needs a mobility scooter to get around and there was not a single handicap automatic door or door trigger in the park. If I had not been there she would not have been able to access any of the buildings in the park. My question is why….
If you want wee kiddie attractions, maybe EPIC is a park to grow into, just as Disney is a park we grew out of, or visit a different Universal park. It takes a little homework to know what will entertain small children, but not be boring to the rest of the family. Universal Orlando has a nice balance when you visit all three parks and we appreciated being entertained throughout the day as adults. The mobility issue has to be addressed. It is a glaring problem.
All I can take away from this is that the one interactive site is undergoing maintenance while there’s still Super Mario Land to consider, the fact that handicapable respect has yet to be addressed, and the whole thing sounds like a puff piece for an otherwise slow newsday that’s been written by an Eh Aye rather than a human given to oversensationalization. The lines for meet and greet were too long but that was to be expected fir a new park. Mario land was only any good if you paid for the wrist band. Many of the “friendlier”rides could not be accessed due to height restriction despite the website stating they were available the actuality was that they were not available. Shame really because usually we prefer Universal
