I think the Lightening Lanes are a CASH GRAB by Disney. All the do is cost familes extra $$ they feel they have to pay to have a better experience. They disrupt how the guest are let on based on “paying” vs regular guests who end up waiting longer.
If DISNEY wasn’t so greedy they could have just left the FREE Fastpass system alone or tweeked the dates they were available for all guests.
Allowing all guests a somewhat fairer distribution system that doesn’t put you in the poor house. And I believe would probably allow guests to be more pleasant about the rides and wait times because they haven’t dropped an additional large bunch $$.

I determined a year ago Disney didn’t want me as a guest any longer. I have been going to Disney World consistently since 1972. Recent years we’ve purchased the annual passes but standing in line for the rides were more and more frustrating with a constant flow of people allowed in ahead of the guests that were unable to spend additional hundreds of dollars a day. That along with the cost of food and a simple cold drink on a hot day lead us to reconsider our loyalty. I wish I had kept better track but I can say with very little doubt that we have been to Disney World in upward of 600 times. But with mobility becoming an issue and money not a plentiful as when I was working, standing in those lines for the additional time necessary because of the high cost fast lanes has finally beat me out of the desire. I never thought the day would come but here we are.
