I was at that talk, and even though Tony doesn’t care for Buzz, he does love Toy Story Mania, one of my favorites too.

Buzz is only one ride, not a plague. It’s unique, cartoonist- I’m ok with one shoot em up ride.

I agree with Baxter. We stood in line for nearly 30 minutes for this ride, only to see the ride was suitable for children to play with the laser. I never looked at the background of the ride, only the laser shooting.
I’ve mentioned this once before. It seems the Disney Parks are turning into movie parks. Disney in the past had rides that were unique, which was something new to generations who visited for the first time and even for numerous visits. I’m hoping under new management they review what Walt stated in his reason for Disney (Parks).

I worked on the concept to have a space shooting gallery on top of America Sings theater. The aliens were solid figures with targets, and optical rifles would trigger physical animations of the characters. I guess old projects never die, just wait for space to install them. I agree the screens are not what people want. We all have 77 inch TV in our homes. People want something real, with a story. There are 200 great stories, and Disney is only using about 25 of them. Attractions with animals are needed, like a mule ride or a petting zoo.

I 100% agree with Tony Baxter, I for one, much preferred attractions such as Catastrophe Canyon, where the disaster scene with the exploding gas truck, was physically created in real time, also for instance, Lights, Motors, Action, rather than “screen” rides like the Millenium Falcon.
