I am excited for the Mandolrian movie, but the Mandolrian series is the whole reason I got Disney+.

There are a whole lot of words here that still skip the point. Disney wants to maximize profits and they can do that better with theatrical releases. Spin it however you want, but that company is only ever interested in one thing: our money.

That’s simply not true. They are only interested in activism like they are part of some crazy cult. If they were interested in our money, we would have some good movies and shows and there stock wouldn’t be in the toilet. How they haven’t been sued by there shareholders for losing billions for there crazy activism is really amazing.

      1. No its Money. Why do you think they made ALL those “right to Video/DVD ” seguals to Aladin and others in the 90’s ? Momey its that simple.

        Legendarily stupid, yes

The enthusiasm cooled because they’ve waited too
long since the last season of the tv show!

At this point as a fan of the Mandalorian tv show I honestly hate the fact that instead of season 4.5.6.7.8 already planned the whole thing gets delayed by this movie nonsense !
Please scrap the nonsense and keep the series going … aside din and grogu there’s sooo much potential from recolonizing mandalor to sooo much more ..

The reason it was successful is because it was on the streaming platform..

People could start, go do something else, and pick up where they left off when they had the time…

Now you are asking to commit two to three hours to go to a cinema to watch…

Audiences will not grow until the film or a renewed series is back on Disney+

I’ll take Mandi any way I can get him. This is the way!

      Mando – stupid autocorrect.

  7. Interesting piece! The core takeaway is that The Mandalorian Season 4 is effectively shelved even though Favreau had fully written it, in favor of a theatrical movie, The Mandalorian and Grogu, hitting cinemas soon. Favreau explained that the original Season 4 scripts were tied heavily to the broader Mando-Verse and Grand Admiral Thrawn storyline feeding into Ahsoka Season 2, making them unsuitable for a standalone film, so he essentially started from scratch.

  8. LOL. LMFAO EVEN

Disney still cant stop dragging the corpse of starwars over hot coals. Either stick to a format or sell the IP to someone who actually cares

  9. Honestly, I’m excited for the movie, but it still feels weird knowing Season 4 was already written. The Mandalorian worked so well because of its slow storytelling and weekly episodes. Hope the big-screen version still keeps that same heart and vibe.

Better to end it on a high, if it kept going it would end up like the walking dead, ok but not interesting anymore

Well it’s more difficult to make money with streaming so Disney is trying the theatrical thing again. It wouldn’t surprise me if it fails, TV shows on streaming have gotten very good as of late, which makes it harder to get excited about going out to a show. I hope that fo both as The Mandalorian is special and I will watch it on Disney plus movie or show which will keep me subscribed. If Disney pulls back too much on streaming content then many will drop the steady Disney plus subscription.

  11. First, with out StarWars Fans Disney + never gets going. Why do ya think they spent the entire year before launch on advertising the Mandalorian on Every platform they could.
Also, the rest ofthe MandoVerse needs at least 2 sesasons for each.Disney must learn if your gonna introduce new Characters to Fans ,six little shows won’t be enough.
