Disney already has major changes planned for its various Frozen (2013)-themed lands worldwide.
Considering the franchise’s global success, it was inevitable that Disney would integrate a Frozen-themed land into its theme parks. The first Frozen land was first announced in 2016 as part of a major expansion at Hong Kong Disneyland following the global success of Disney’s 2013 animated film Frozen. The project aimed to recreate the fictional kingdom of Arendelle with immersive attractions, dining, and character experiences.

The first World of Frozen officially opened at Hong Kong Disneyland on November 20, 2023, becoming the world’s first fully themed land based on the franchise. The area includes attractions such as Frozen Ever After – similar to the version found at EPCOT – and Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs, and is set narratively after the events of the original film.
Disney later expanded the concept internationally. A version called Frozen Kingdom debuted at Tokyo DisneySea on June 6, 2024, as part of the park’s Fantasy Springs expansion, followed by a European version opening on March 29, 2026, at Disneyland Paris’ renamed second gate, Disney Adventure World.
But if you thought Disney was done with Frozen in its parks, think again.
Disney Confirms ‘Frozen’ Land Overhauls
Disney has confirmed that it plans to update its Frozen lands across the globe – including the version found at Disney Adventure World.

IGN recently shared new information about the creative process behind World of Frozen, plus its future plans for the park.
With Frozen 3 hitting theaters in November 2027, followed by Frozen 4 at an undisclosed date, Disney aims to routinely tweak the land to be up to date with what’s happening in the Frozen franchise.
“Today, when you’re in World of Frozen, you’ll see Anna in her Queenly outfit from the end of Frozen II and you’ll see Elsa in her beautiful Snow Queen look, as that’s who they are now,” Disney said. “When a Frozen III or Frozen IV comes out, we will evolve that story. So the land will always be a living place that reflects Frozen today and wherever that story is.”

That means guests will inevitably see Anna and Elsa in new outfits. With Frozen 3 confirmed to feature Anna (Kristen Bell) and Kristoff’s (Jonathan Groff) wedding, that may mean Anna is out and about in a more bridal look. The film is also set to introduce a mysterious new member of Anna and Elsa’s (Idina Menzel) family, who could also potentially pop up in World of Frozen in the future.
While Disney Adventure World’s version of World of Frozen was met with general acclaim (and heavy crowds), the primary critique from fans is that it offers only one major ride. The land centers on Frozen Ever After, alongside the Arendelle village area with shops and dining, the Anna and Elsa meet-and-greet, and the A Celebration in Arendelle show on the fjord in front of Arendelle Castle.
With Frozen 3 and Frozen 4 on the horizon, the expansions could also present an opportunity for Disney to introduce new rides or entertainment to the area.
What Do We Know About ‘Frozen 3’ So Far?
Beyond Anna and Kristoff’s wedding, plus the mysterious family member, Disney has kept details of Frozen 3 relatively close to its chest.

In March, Disney released Disney+ Insider: World of Frozen, which followed Jennifer Lee – writer and director of the Frozen films – and Trent Correy, co-director of Frozen 3, around the land.
The pair spoke with Queen Anna about wedding plans, potentially teasing a future storyline for Anna and Kristoff, who became engaged at the end of Frozen 2.
“We hear there are big wedding plans happening. Are you excited?” Lee asked Anna.
“Oh, yes! I’m so excited!” Anna said.

Lee and Correy joked about whether they were invited before Correy asked if Anna was handling most of the planning.
Anna explained, “Olaf said he likes to be in charge of all the party planning in Arendelle, and he told us that he and Kristoff have been planning a really big surprise for the Snowflower Festival!”
Correy also added that he’s “really excited” about the plans for Frozen 3.
Ahead of the film’s release, Disney has also confirmed plans to amp up marketing for Frozen 3 with the release of a new Frozen short film in October.
