Law Enforcement Responds to Disney World Hotel

Shortly after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office received reports of a neglected child at a property in the Disney Springs hotel plaza, home to several Walt Disney World Good Neighbor Resort hotels. X (formerly known as Twitter) user @WDWActiveCrime, known for monitoring police scanner activity near the Central Florida Disney parks, logged the police response as it occurred:

The pinned location on the attached Google Maps screenshot doesn’t necessarily reflect the exact location of the emergency response; it’s just the address where it was logged. It’s unclear which Disney Springs Plaza hotel deputies responded to.

Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Walt Disney World Resort issued public statements about the child neglect response on Wednesday. Unless the child’s parents or guardians are charged with a crime, it’s unlikely that more information will be made public due to privacy laws.

Following Wednesday’s incident, Walt Disney World Resort guests shouldn’t expect any delays during their visits to Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, or Disney Springs. No road, attraction, restaurant, or shop closures were reported as a result of the law enforcement response.
