Bringing them to the big screen was a terrible idea in my opinion. The old saying goes “if it’s not broken then don’t fix it.” Bringing them to the big screen forces bigger and better expectations from the IP and now Hollywood has thier grubby little fingers in something that belongs to the fans. What we had worked for us. We the fans wanted an at home experience where we could sit at home and watch with our loved ones. Instead now we have now have to go to a money hungry theater pay $40 per ticket and another $50 for food! Thier idea greater only screwed us the fans. I for one will not be going to the theater. I now will wait as long as it takes to watch it free.
They’ll always try to “fix it” and it’s infuriating. They bring in someone new and they have to prove they can do it better. What we, the fans, end up with is usually something worse.
The good thing here is it’s written by Filoni & directed by favreau, 2 people who both know & love Star Wars and are the main drivers behind Mando so we should be in safe hands.
As a star wars fan I like that they are expanding on characters filtered out of Other series of films, but why suddenly are directors being told buy disney they aren’t running things. The film industry is not going well enough as it is to keep cancelling everything .
Two months from today, I’ll be watching this on opening day, just like every other Star Wars movie! Hopefully multiple times! Filoni/Favreau 28! People who are not happy that another Star Wars movie is coming out are just next level morons.
It’s only on for Friday-Sunday, the opening weekend at my local Odeon, then four late evening shows (post 10 pm finish) the following Monday-Thursday. Was hoping to take my 10-year-old, who loves The Mandalorian. So looks like if we don’t go for the opening weekend, he won’t get to see it. Guess that says Odeon expect it to crash and burn with so few screenings. Disappointing.
I’ll see the film with my Dad. Don’t know when exactly though.
I’ve read adaptations of The Mandalorian (Seasons 1 and 2) and The Book of Boba Fett. Attempted to find adaptations for The Mandalorian Season 3, but couldn’t find any. (I don’t have Disney+.)

Absolutely. I trust Dave and Jon to do the right thing by serious fans. I will certainly be watching the show and on IMAX!

To be fair, it was shit from the start, so you could say it’s broken. No chance they’ll fix it, though, only break it further.

Who actually give a f*** Disney would have just ruined it like they ruined everything else they touch.

Disappointed! Let down again by Disney. As far as going on opening night, not now.

So if you’re not excited for more absolute bottom of the barrel complete and utter crap “content”, you’re a moron?
