Passing very hard on this. I didn’t care for the original one except for Maximus the horse who will probably be played by a black mare identifying as a gelding.
Meh, no thanks. Too soon for a remake and didn’t need one at all. It’s just another feminist film with more virtue signaling, race swapping, poor writing, 90% CGI work, the usual modern Disney stuff, you know.
No. Just no. Disney literally has nothing else better to do than to remake every movie they ever made. First they destroy too many 2D classics, now they’re working on 3D movies that are barely fifteen years old. Stop it Disney. Get some help.
I wasn’t a fan of the first… original… whatever. I’m very, very sick of having to say either ‘original’ or ‘remake’ when I say a Disney movie name. Hope this tanks hard, especially after the whole Snow Brown controversy. But once sheeple see the trailers they’ll bleat, they’ll cry and be all: oh boo hoo hoo my childhood!! Sheez, what pathetic dolts.
The kid from Zombies and School Spirits isn’t a bad choice but Tegan as Rapunzel lol… Yeah that ain’t it but it will bomb like El Snow White and De dwarfs did. I have a feeling Toy story 10 will be Live action soon and that will set the strike up for Disney
What?! They didn’t cast some random black or brown person?! That’s r@cist! 😂🤣
The horse, if he’s in it at all, will probably be a zebra. Some character will definitely be black. Or woke. Or both. Who knows. And girlboss will probably save Flynn from Mother Gothel by cutting her own hair off rather than him cutting it.
Unique twist? I think you mean screwed twist. They’ll probably make Flynn the villain and Mother Gothel the misunderstood person so that the princess can live happily ever after ruling her queendom by herself.
Because the majority audience are tired of left-wing pandering, virtue signaling, feminism and such related crap from Disney. Besides, no one asked for this movie, Disney just can’t come up with anything original anymore to the point they’re already redoing they made ten or fifteen years ago. So lame.
dude I still can’t believe they’re remaking moana and it’s barely ten years old here in two more years they’ll redo the second and when they come out with the third they’ll redo that one in another two years
Who asked for this movie in the first place? No one; that’s who. Dishey is only doing this as a cash grab. I saw Tangled. It was ok it had it’s funny moments, especially from Max the horse but not really awesome overall and I could care less about a remake. If I want to see the movie I’ll get the original one
I think that they really listened to the fans of the movie, who are clearly not the ones that have been commenting so far, so I am a huge fan of Tangled. I think that they have cast the characters quite well. and I think they have learned their lesson from Snow Brown. I am excited for this and as a fan of Tangled, I have asked for this! I just didn’t want it to be a flop like mermaid and snow brown. I enjoyed Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, even Cruella and Maleficent
You have my sympathy if you seriously think Disney learned their lesson after Mud Brown. (You REALLY have my sympathy if you liked that woke Beauty and the Beast!!) Disney NEVER learns. They didn’t learn when Light-year failed, they didn’t learn when The Little Black Mermaid failed. That’s why the commenters are mistrustful that Disney will not do this right and obviously have live action remake fatigue, the same as I. It’s disturbing as to how many classics they have destroyed with evil agenda and poor writing and as to how many more they are going to destroy just because they are greedy for money and no longer have true imagineers to write good, original stories like the underrated films of yesteryear.
Disney?????? Learn a lesson???? Ah ha ha ha! We have a really dumb Disney adult here! They have not learned their lesson ever since they turned full woke and pandered only to the politically left.
I’ve seen only two of Disney’s “live action” remakes and I didn’t go running to the theater crying, “boo hoo my childhood!” either. The first one I saw was Lion King because that’s one of my favorite Disney movies. It was good only as far as CGI scenery and CGI animal action and some music goes. The humor was cheesy and the dialogue was watery. Voice acting choices were not great. The Be Prepared song was horribly watered down.
The second I saw was the Jungle Book. I bought the DVD for someone else as a Christmas gift and decided to borrow it afterwards. Like Lion King, it was good as far as CGI scenery and CGI animal action. But it wasn’t staying true to the original one, the boy playing Mowgli had an annoying voice, couldn’t sing to save his life.
Gender swapping Kaa was s t u p I d as well as making King Louie a giant. The Bear Necessities and I Wanna be Like You songs were also horribly watered down. The score music was good though. I don’t mind watching either of those remake movies now and then for the animal action but give me the cartoons any day. They are bright, cheerfully colored and more uplifting unlike the remakes. I have not seen any other screwy remake Disney has made and probably won’t see anymore unless it’s just for animal action. Mufasa was good just for the animal action but I refuse to believe it is cannon to either 1995 or 2019 movie.
Remake of Lilo and Stitch was corrupted garbage. I don’t care how much money the spineless sheeple shelled out for it, that did not make it a good movie. They did away with Gantu, made Jumbaa and Bubbles the villains, included swear words, did away with Jumbaa and Pleakley dressing up as humans making it less funny, race swapped the ice cream man, making Lilo a girlboss so she would save Stitch rather than Stitch be the hero, Lilo screaming when she first saw Stitch at the pound wasn’t the least bit funny, Nani be a grouch and also be a girlboss and save Stitch, did away with her romance with David, have Nani leave not only her sister in custody of someone else but leave the state so she could be little miss career woman and overall, it wasn’t any good or funny.
Disney may not have learned their lesson, but I did! Don’t watch Disney remakes anymore!

I’ll still be satisfied when Disney can adapt The Bremen Town Musicians, Rudyard Kipling’s Just So Stories, and Mother Goose rhymes.

I wonder who will be cast as the villain this time. They always bring a unique twist to these stories.
