It did not help matters that the Lime garage was closed! For maintenance they say!

This was announced months ago. Refurbishment.

I have been on the fence about the MK after hours in July… but with it being completely non-refundable, and about $170/ea (plus tax!), that is an expensive gamble to hope nothing will prevent the trip in 4 months… Hotels can be cancelled, but Disney always keeps the ticket money for “special events”, no exchanges, period. Unless you’re a pass holder, with no financial commitment to the specific date (of a normal park ticket), planning anything far in advance is risky when it’s about $200/pp.

I once lost over $500 when we overslept at the hotel and missed a tour at MK (because we needed to be there before rope drop, but missed the first shuttle by moments). I called the number to ask if we could join a different group, but they literally told me “no refunds, no exceptions” and had the audacity to still say “have a magical day” before hanging up on me. So yeah, I’d rather wait til a closer date to spend the money, and risk missing out, than hand over $800 for nothing.

  4. Sounds like a crazy day at Disney! Did they give any reason for the buyout?
