Guests planning a stay at The Turf Club Bar and Grill will need to adjust their dining plans in 2026, as the popular table-service location is set to close for a lengthy refurbishment. The restaurant, located at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa in the Disney Springs resort area, will shutter its doors in 2026 and is not expected to reopen until mid-September 2026. The closure will also include the adjacent Turf Club Lounge, temporarily removing one of the resort’s signature dining and cocktail spots for multiple months.

While Disney has confirmed the project’s timeframe, specific details about what the refurbishment will entail remain under wraps. No official information has been released regarding whether the updates will focus on cosmetic enhancements, structural changes, or a broader thematic refresh. Given Disney’s recent trend of modernizing resort dining spaces while preserving their core identity, guests can reasonably expect updates that maintain the restaurant’s equestrian charm while potentially elevating its atmosphere and comfort.

That said, the closures of the Lounge and the Bar and Grill locations will be staggered so that guests will still be able to dine at Saratoga Springs in some fashion. As WDWMagic explains:

Early April through early August: The Turf Club Lounge closes. The Turf Club Bar & Grill stays open with a pop-up bar and modified menu.

Early to mid-August: The Turf Club patio closes.

Mid-August through mid-September: The Turf Club Bar & Grill closes. The Turf Club Lounge reopens and remains open.

Other reports have also confirmed the phased closing of this location.

The Turf Club has long served as the resort’s primary table-service restaurant, offering a relaxed yet refined setting overlooking the golf course and waterways of Lake Buena Vista. Its menu leans into elevated American fare, featuring dishes such as grilled steaks, sustainable seafood, pasta options, and hearty comfort food.

Guests frequently visit for filet mignon, prime rib, crab cakes, and indulgent desserts, while the lounge has been known for craft cocktails, wine selections, and approachable bar bites. For Disney Vacation Club members and returning visitors to Saratoga Springs, the venue has become a reliable, quieter alternative to the busier dining locations found throughout Walt Disney World.

The closure will inevitably impact guests staying at Saratoga Springs during the refurbishment window. As one of the largest resorts on Walt Disney World property, Saratoga Springs spans multiple sections, each themed to reflect the late 1800s New York horse-racing retreat that inspired its design.

The resort features Victorian-style architecture, tree-lined pathways, and a connection to Disney Springs via walking path and boat transportation. While guests will still have access to quick-service dining options such as The Artist’s Palette and the proximity of Disney Springs’ extensive restaurant lineup, the temporary loss of its main table-service offering narrows on-site dining convenience.

Saratoga Springs, which opened in 2004 as a Disney Vacation Club property, has since undergone several room refurbishments to modernize its interiors while retaining subtle nods to its racing heritage. The Turf Club’s upcoming refurbishment aligns with Disney’s ongoing efforts to refresh resort amenities periodically, ensuring they remain competitive and appealing in an increasingly experience-driven hospitality market.

At this stage, Disney has indicated that both The Turf Club Bar and Grill and the Turf Club Lounge are expected to reopen in the August/September period. Until more detailed plans are announced, guests can only speculate about what enhancements may be in store. Whether the project results in a light refresh or a more noticeable transformation, the extended and staggered timeline suggests a substantial update designed to keep Saratoga Springs’ signature dining location in step with the evolving standards of the broader Walt Disney World resort.
