This is ridiculous!!!! As a shareholder I always vote down the board compensation. I’d like to be given a tally of the vote count, after annual shareholder meeting & voting. Maybe that should be a proposal?
This is not just Disney, the CEO compensation and executive spending for all American and other country salary and stock bonus is too much. But your tax money is paying Billions to some of our government so-called leaders and their tax breaks. So this is not new news. Yes the compensation of all CEO’s that get published in off the charts. Not just a Disney issue!
it would be great if the new CEO could get rid of forcing their politics into everything. Great if they would go back to hiring people who actually know how to write a story vs this recycling girl boss plot in every single movie. Great if they could also hire people who respect the source material instead of trying to ruin things completely or making former heroes into weak, feeble things that are 2nd class in their own movies. and lastly, it would be awesome if they could go back to creating fun things instead of trying to force everyone to think the same or pushing politics…
Iger only could do what the board allowed him to do and the board allowed what the board allowed him to grift. When an alternative was offered to stock holders the vote went down in flames. The answer is not govt control – the answer is appointing people with integrity and morals – which Bob Iger has none.
