Terrible. My sympathy to the families. Why does any attorney ever try to protect someone as dangerous as this guy. How can you sleep at night defending someone who is a criminal is beyond me. Fire all those who didn’t do their jobs properly. If not it will happen again
Agree. It should be mandatory, regardless of the number (which is likely huge), that the judges that allow these criminals go free to be held accountable for any actions they take. Yes, our country is in a mental health crisis, and it was a failure on many parts. But until this can be fixed, there needs to be accountability for the actions that allow this to happen.

How exactly is this tragedy to blame on the vacation rental segment of the lodging sector if the killer was neither a vacation rental guest (nor a vacation rental guest) but was rather a permanent resident?
